Custom | Martingale 40mm

Martingale collars are wonderful for Hounds & Bullies in particular. They have a tightening mechanism that works well for dogs whose neck is thicker than their head, so they don't slip their collar on a walk.

To measure your dog for a martingale, you need 3 points:
•Base of the neck where the collar will sit.
•High on neck behind ears (usually the smallest point).
•Circumference of their head at widest point.

Martingale collars to not open, so ensure they expand wide enough to fit over your dog's head.

The 40mm size collars are currently available with silver or grey hardware. If you have a preference, please leave it in a note at checkout with your chosen fabric.

Safety Info:
If your dog is Reactive or tends to pull and/or lunge on walks, a harness would be a much safer option. While the tightening mechanism on these collars is not meant to cause pain or give a correction, just enough so they don't slip the collar, it could cause injury if the dog is pulling away strongly or quickly. Martingales are also not suitable to be worn around the house without supervision as there is a similar risk of injury if the D ring were to catch on something. A house or standard collar is a great option so your dog can still wear their ID tags while home.
